BREAKING NEWS: Monday evening crash injures 3, 1 with life threatening injuries

Three people were injured, one with life-threatening injuries, in a two-vehicle head-on crash Monday night in Canisteo Township.
At approximately 5:25 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a head-on crash on 250th Ave (County Road 13) at approximately 685th Street in Canisteo Township involving two vehicles, according to Sheriff Scott Rose.

BREAKING NEWS: Dodge Center stand-off ends

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says they have one in custody and there were no injuries. He says more information will be coming.

BREAKING NEWS: Triton schools closed as COVID cases rise

Triton school officials notified parents Tuesday that all the district schools would be closed from Wednesday until next Tuesday because of a rise in COVID cases.
The email sent out to parents said that school would be closed Wednesday and Thursday and Friday would be distance learning days. Monday is a scheduled teacher workday. In-person classes will resume on Tuesday, November 5.

Byron and Hayfield approve referendums

Byron voters approve bond referendum

Voters in the Byron School District have approved both questions on today's ballot.

Vote totals were Question #1, 1,600 yes and 907 no.
For Question #2 the vote was 1,337 yes and 1,167 no.

Hayfield Schools referendum passes

Voters in the Hayfield school district have approved the continuation of an operating levy. The vote was 394 yes (69%) and 179 no (31%).

BREAKING: Dodge Center man arrested, charged with impersonating a federal agent

A federal criminal complaint has been filed against a Dodge County man for impersonating a federal law enforcement officer, announced Acting United States Attorney W. Anders Folk.
According to court documents, on August 17, 2021, the FBI received a tip that Reyel Devon Simmons, 52, of Dodge Center, was impersonating a federal agent with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
