The Kasson-Mantorville girls soccer team was dominant from the beginning of its game against Plainview-Elgin-Millville, and by the end of the first half, the KoMets had all the goals they needed, in a 7-0 victory.
Leading the KoMets was Hailey Otterness who had three goals, along with Mackenzie Carrier who had two, Delaney Awe and Morgan Hausman each put a goal through the net during the game.

The Triton/K-W/Hayfield Girls Soccer team didn’t have the results the team was looking for in its opening matchup against Caledonia last Thursday.
Despite the 7-0 loss, Head Coach Jeremy Himli still found some positives.
Thursday night we played at Caledonia in the season opener. We lost 7-0.

The Byron Cross Country teams participated in a scrimmage versus Pine Island ahead of the official 2024 cross country season. The first meet of the season for Byron will be on Thursday at Stewartville against 23 other teams. Pictured is Avery Warndahl with Ashlynn Mitchell on her shoulder.
 
 

Chateau Speedway hosted the Stringer Attachments Friday Night Racing event last week and had all six classes active for another weekend of fun at the races.
There were many exciting finishes, but the most notable mix-up came in the Hanson Tire WISSOTA Midwest Mods division, where brothers Kadden and Kullen Kath both surpassed 1,000 points on the season.

With the closing of the school year is also brought the end to the senior high Art II and III one-man shows that have been displayed at various business places in the two communities.

(Byron’s Paige Haldergoes “team first”) Track and field phenom Paige Halder could have gone into Saturday’s Section 1, Class 2A track/field meet chasing numerous individual goals. After all, the Byron senior is one of the top 400 and 200 runners in the state. Instead, the North Dakota State University commit went the opposite route. She made this final post-season all about the team. Halder opted to compete in three relays and the high jump.
