Elaine Rose Rud, 90, of Kasson, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her home.
Elaine was born on Nov. 8, 1930 to Emil and Ragna (Lee) Asleson in Ambrose, N.D. She attended Oak Grove High School in Fargo, N.D.

Derrik Matthew Johnson, 30, Byron

Derrik Matthew Johnson, 30, of Byron, died on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at his home in Kasson.
He was born on March 8, 1991 to Kevin and Hollee Johnson. Derrik was a graduate of Byron High School and went on to complete the Building Utilities Mechanic Program (BUM) at RCTC.

David Robert Johnston, 72, Rochester

David Robert Johnston, 72, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
He was born April 22, 1948, the only child to Jean (Woodward) and Robert Johnston. He was always surrounded by many cousins, aunts and uncles, growing up on the family farm outside of Dodge Center.

Robert ‘Jim’ James Buehler, 92, West Concord

Robert James "Jim" Buehler Sr., 92, of West Concord, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus in Rochester surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug.10, 1928, in Milton Township, Dodge County, the son of Walter and Ruth (Lehnherr) Buehler.

Lyle ‘Slats’ Papenfuss, 78, Chatfield

Lyle “Slats” Papenfuss, age 78, passed away on March 2, 2021 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. 
He was born on Dec. 28, 1942 to Howard and Winnie (Greenwood) Papenfuss of LaCrescent.  Slats attended LaCrosse Central High School where he was named to the AP All-State Basketball First Team in 1960. He was also selected to go to Boys State in Minnesota.

Maria Ortega, 71, of Dodge Center, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mary Kay Agerter, 84, Escanaba, Mich.

Mary Kay Agerter, age 84, of Escanaba, formerly of West Concord, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba, with her husband Ronald by her side. 
Mary Kay was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Rochester, the daughter of Vincent and Zettie (Nelson) Pirkl. Mary Kay grew up in West Concord and was a graduate of West Concord High School.
