Larry John Johnson, 87, of Rochester MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on July 24, 2024 at his home of natural causes.

Dr. E. Rolland Dickson was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on June 10, 1933, to Edgar Rolland Dickson, Sr. and Mary Jane (Smucker) Dickson and passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2024. As a young boy, his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he attended Rocky River High School and excelled in multiple sports. After his high school graduation, he pursued an undergraduate degree at Ohio Wesleyan University and then received his M.D.

Dennis Lee Karlen, 70, of Byron, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2024.  He was born on August 3, 1953, in Zumbrota, to Jacob and Dorothy (Schletty) Karlen. Dennis grew up on a farm between Pine Island and Berne and graduated from Pine Island High School. He also attended ‘Berne Church’ where he noticed a cute redhead, Karren Schuck. They were married at ‘Berne Church’ and celebrated their 50th Anniversary this past March 2nd.

Leonard Charles Rollins died July 5, 2024, at Field Crest Care Center. Leonard (81) was born on the family farm in rural Weaver, Minnesota to Leonard Henry Rollins and Louise Alice Rollins (Schleicher) on March 13, 1943.
He grew up helping out on the farm and continued living there until graduating from Wabasha High School and Winona State University. He married Jolene Ann Rollins (Roe) on June 12, 1965.

Mary Iona (Miner) Mortensen, 96, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at her home.
Mary was born in Cerro Gordo County, IA on May 10, 1928, to Ray and Mary Miner. She was the fourth of ten children: Marvin, Meda, Morris, Mary, Maynard, Merryelle, Morna, Merrit (died at birth), Merredith and Milda. The family made a couple short stops in Iowa and Minnesota before settling on a farm east of Sargent, MN.

Wanda Mae (Gish) Soland lost a hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia on June 15, 2024. She passed away peacefully at Cascade Creek Memory Care in Rochester, MN.
