Dr. L.B. Severance 96, Kasson

Lewis “Doc” Severance, longtime Kasson, resident and businessman, died on March 7, 2020 in Park Rapids, at the age of 96.
He was born in a former boxcar near Vayland, SD on May 20, 1923 to Lewis Sr. and Gladys (Beyer) Severance. 
He graduated from Balaton  High School in 1941 and worked as a telegrapher and agent for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company. 

Dolores Irene Roberts 90, Dodge Center

Dolores Irene Schletty Roberts passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Feb. 19, 2020 at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. 
She was born Sept. 15, 1929 to Lawrence and Edna Schletty in Concord Township. Dolores was the oldest of six siblings. 

Christine Deloris Moenning 92, Dodge Center

Christine Deloris Moenning passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2020, just days from her 93rd birthday.

Wandah Everly Nielsen 82, Hayfield

Wandah Everly Nielsen, 82, of Hayfield, passed away on March 6, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Wandah was born on Aug. 20, 1937, the daughter of Oscar and Fern (Pederson) Hegna in Hayfield. She graduated from Hayfield High School. Wandah was united in marriage to Allan Nielsen on Nov. 20, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield.

Beverly Winchell 86, Cannon Falls

Beverly Winchell, 86, of Cannon Falls died Mon- day, March 2, 2020, at Bay View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Red Wing.
Bev was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Cannon Falls, the only daughter of Robert and Irene Munson. She attended Cannon Falls High School.
On July 28, 1951, Bev married Roland Winchell. The couple made their home in Cannon Falls, then moved to the North Shore of Lake Byllesby in 1967.

Elvina Anderson, 98, Blooming Prairie

Elvina Leone Anderson, age 98,
passed away on Feb. 26, 2020, at the
Heather Haus in Blooming Prairie.
She was born Dec. 11, 1921, the oldest
daughter of Fabian and Esther Sellman.
Elvina and her two sisters were raised
on a farm near Almelund, Minn., a

River Jeanne Carver 3, Mantorville

River Jeanne Carver (Dobbs), age 3, of Mantorville, passed away at home, in her mother’s arms on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 from complications of Mabry’s Syndrome.
River was born Dec. 19, 2016in Rochester to Jennifer Dobbsand Timmy Carver. River was astrong little warrior and alwayshad a smile on her face. Although there were things River couldn’t do, she couldn’t walk or talk, but she could spread love with a smile.
