Real ID federal enforcement begins May 7

Beginning May 7, 2025, Minnesotans 18 years of age or older will need a Real ID, Enhanced ID, or another federally approved form of identification to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities. Standard Minnesota driver’s licenses and ID cards will no longer be accepted for these purposes.

Easter Egg Hunts Saturday in Dodge County

The Easter Bunny will be busy this Saturday as local communities schedule Easter Egg Hunts for the day before Easter.
He arrives at Riverside Park in Mantorville at 9 a.m. and will be available to visit with youngsters until 9:30 a.m. The hunt begins at 9:30 a.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a donation to the Food Shelf. Bunny cake and treat bags will be available.

Kasson man charged with 1st degree attempted murder

A Kasson man is charged with two counts of 1st-degree attempted murder after he allegedly tried to enter a home and stab the residents, according to court documents.
Johnathan David Harris, 52, is being held at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, on $250,000 bail with conditions, or $500,000 bail without conditions. He made his first appearance in Dodge County District Court on Monday before Judge Debra A. Groehler.
