Man opts for bench trial in child assault cases

A Dodge County man who authorities said physically and sexually assaulted children has waived his right to a jury trial, and instead will have a judge decide his fate.
William Patrick Wyttenback, 54, has five open criminal cases against him in Dodge County District Court.

Senseless drunk driving needs to stop

Over the past month, we had some major stories about suspected drunk driving in Steele County. Most notably, the fatal wreck near Hope that killed a woman at the hands of a man suspected of being more than twice the legal limit to drive. His case is pending in court.
