The family found Mark peacefully sitting in his truck where he likely was checking markets or the weather on his tablet, having a snack and wishing his phone charger worked better.

Participants in the Haunted Hustle 5k race take off from the starting line in Mantorville. The 5k and the 1 mile Family Fun Run that followed kicked off Mantorville’s Fall Festival on Saturday.
 
 

No criminal charges will be filed against a coach of a Blooming Prairie youth football team, authorities announced Monday.
Steele County Attorney Robert Jarrett issued the ruling, saying charges were declined and the case is closed.
It came down to intent, he said.

“Pecos Bill & Slue-Foot Sue Meet the Dirty Dan Gang” will be staged Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. at Hayfield High School. Students are $5 and adults are $10.
Twenty-seven students in grades 6 through 12 are in the Pecos Bill production.

After months of campaign rhetoric voters will get their chance to make their voices heard Tuesday.
Polls will open in most precincts at 8 a.m. although some smaller townships have the option to open at 10 a.m. All polling places will remain open until 8 p.m. Extended early in-person voting hours have also been established.

The city of Byron is expected to have at least one business with a cannabis license when licenses are distributed by the State in 2025, after the city council nixed a proposal by Olmsted County to be part of its licensing mechanism.
