Entry day for the 2026 Dodge County Fair for open class Fine Arts and Photography will be from noon to 8 p.m. July 13 in the pavilion building. Classes are broken down by age, media and types of photos.
Absentee voting is underway for the Aug. 11 state primary elections. Dodge County and western Olmsted Counties will have the chance to vote in the primary election for statewide offices, along with U.S Representative for Congressional District 1 in person or by mail leading up Aug. 11.
Donald Ross Jones, 107, of Stillwater, Minn., formerly of Kasson, Minn., passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society in Stillwater, Minn.

The Kasson City Council has approved hiring reserve officer Conner Finley as a full-time officer. The Kasson Police Department has had trouble hiring in recent years; it started the year with three unfilled full-time officer positions, which has led to a number of issues. Key among those is the department’s overtime use, which is already over budget, something Kasson Police Chief Joshua Hanson directly attributes to lack of staff.
