Over the weekend Owatonna High School students took their audience back to the 1950s in New York City with three performances of the musical, ‘Guys and Dolls.’ 
This is not the first time OHS has taken on the production. 

An effective ball control game from Goodhue and poor shooting by Blooming Prairie combined for a 58-42 victory over the Blossoms Saturday, Feb. 28, at Rochester.  
The win avenged a loss to the locals in last season’s tournament and gave the No. 1 seeded contingent the West Sub-Section 1A championship. Goodhue will face Rushford-Peterson now for the section title and a spot in the state tournament.

Heading into March the old weather saying is if that March comes in like a lion it is going to go out like a lamb. Or Vice versa.
In Blooming Prairie this saying goes out the window during the third month of the year. 

Momentum worth reading.
If you’ve never considered subscribing to our newspaper before, this may be the time to do so because we have incredible momentum that makes us worth reading. We’re in a similar situation as to what a Twin Cities TV station went through years ago.  

Sports to the front
When the shooting is below average against a good team, winning is always a problem.  The Awesome Blossoms boys found that out in the sub-section finals, as they lost to a patient and good-shooting Goodhue team. The Blossoms had only seven turnovers in the game, but they couldn’t overcome the sub-par shooting.

Standing, flexing his biceps and pointing to his home crowd, Peyton Robb claimed his place among Minnesota state champions. 
In the Section 1AAA tournament, Victor Gliva defeated Robb in a 5-2 decision. In the state championship round, the two faced each other again, but Robb made it clear that this time would be different. 

The attorney for the Blooming Prairie man who accused police of roughing him up says body cams on officers would have helped bring a clearer understanding of what took place. 
Mark Stephenson, a Rochester attorney who represented Valanchie and Ashly Garcia, said body cams would have helped sort out the details much sooner in the process. The case has dragged on for almost a year and a half. 

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been very busy since the election with its new administration and transition plans. The first two months have been very productive with many improvements made by staff. We have a great group of men and women here at the sheriff’s office. With everyone working together as a team, we’ve really accomplished a great deal in just a few weeks.

The Huskies are sending six individual wrestlers to state. Two of them are sophomores and one is a freshman. Peyton Robb, Taonner Cole and Brandon Moen each advanced to state over the weekend. Cole and Moen both claimed weight championships, and freshman Robb took true second. 
Huskies’ Coach Cliff Casteel is proud of the young blood on the team.
