The Byron girls basketball team started its season with a.5 60-49 win over Mankato West last week.
For Byron senior guard Kendra Harvey lead the team with 28 points, junior forward Madison Ohm had 11 points, sophomore guard Kayla Stork had eight points, junior forward Ella Nelson had six points, junior forward Carly Halder had three points, senior

Kelly’s Tae Kwon Do of Kasson Minnesota participated in a national Chung Do Kwan Invitational tournament in Fishkill, New York this month. The tournament included participants from the New York City region as well as schools from as far as Florida and Minnesota.

The Dodge County girls hockey team defeated Breck 3-2 in overtime last Friday night, to start the season 3-0.
Breck scored in the first period, followed by a goal by Bryn Spreiter in the second period. Breck and the Wildcats traded goals in the third. In overtime Maysie Koch scored the game winning goal.
Behind the next Ida Huber stopped 24 out of 26 shots, in the win.

The Byron boys soccer team will have a new head coach next year, after Dave Bahr resigned from his post, Bahr confirmed in an email to the DCI.
“I have decided to step down as the Byron Head Coach effective last Wednesday,” Bahr wrote in an email.
Bahr finished his seventh year this year, as the head coach with Byron, and has been coaching for 27 years in total at the high school level.

When Triton football’s Brandon Neseth stepped onto campus in 2022 to begin his tenure as the Cobras’ head coach, he was already familiar with the program he was taking over and the act he had to follow.
The successes of previous head coach Don Henderson’s Cobras teams were something he remembers reading about in the local papers he would deliver just miles away down Highway 14 in Byron.
