Boys hockey earns top 5 seed

Despite losing its final two regular season games, the Dodge County boys hockey team earned the fifth seed in the Section 1A boys hockey tournament, which was set to begin Thursday.
In its matchup against Waseca Dodge County was defeated 4-1.
For the Wildcats Camryn Koch scored the one goal for the team, and Cooper Bebee, and Brett Ludvigsen each had an assist in the game.

K-M defeats New Prague

The Kasson-Mantorville boys basketball team defeated New Prague on the road last week 52-47.
For the KoMets Ethan Lee had 19 points, and 16 rebounds, Caisen Thome had 12 points, and Brooks Irish had 10 points, and two rebounds.
 
 

Hayfield falls to BP

The Hayfield boys basketball team was defeated by Blooming Prairie last week 73-43.
For Hayfield, Charlie Walker had 28 points, five rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Drew Slaathaug had six points, and two rebounds, Axel Meek had three points, and  Kolton Fiedler, Layne Nelson, and Nolan Pack each had two points for the Vikings.
 

Triton defeats Kenyon Wanamgingo

In a close game, the Triton girls basketball team was defeated by JWP 64-57 in the Gopher Conference championship game.
For Triton, Reagan Essig had 20 points, and seven assists, Rainey Dobbs had a double-double with 11 points, and 10 rebounds, and Addison Oakland had 10 points, and six assists.
Triton also defeated Kenyon Wanamingo last week 83-63.

1,000 Points Club

Triton sophomore Reagan Essig recently scored her 1,000 career point, for the Triton girls basketball team. Earlier this season she also broke the school record for three pointers in a single game with nine.

K-M defeats Mankato West

The Kasson-Mantorville girls basketball team defeated Mankato West last week at home 52-39.
K-M went into halftime with a 24-19 lead.

Krekling surpasses 200 career wins

The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team defeated Blooming Prairie and Rushford-Peterson last week.
In its 59-55 win over Rushford-Peterson, Maggie Hansen had 11 points, Jenna Christopherson had eight points, Avi Alexander had seven points, Gabby Buehler had two points, Betsy Gillette nine points, Lily Morrisey had 12 points, and Frieda Rutz had 10 points.
