Troye Jay Kiefer, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was born in Hazelton, ND in 1925, where his parents and grandparents had farmed since 1902. Family life growing up there was farm life, and it was in his blood. Troye was the eldest of 4 children—followed by sisters, Janice and Dolores, and brother, Duane. Childhood work on the farm gave way to approaching adulthood.

In loving memory, we announce the passing of Kimberly Kaye Schellhammer, a cherished figure in the Kasson community, who departed from this world on April 10, 2025, her 59th birthday. Kim was born on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, in Rochester, to Ronald and Sandra (Yentsch) Musolf. With her unmistakable spirit and sharp wit, Kim lived her life with a powerful authenticity that resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Paul Alois Maroo, 74, of Dodge Center passed away in Rochester, MN, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, after a 21-year fight with cancer.
Paul Alois Maroo was born on June 3, 1950, in Austin, to Ernest C. and Rosemary (Ryan) Maroo. He attended school in Dodge Center, graduating in 1968. He worked on pipeline construction prior to joining the U.S. Navy in March 1969.
