Burton A. Kittelson, age 97 of Austin, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at home with his wife by his side.
Burton was born July 1, 1922 in Austin, to Edward F. and Berthena O. (Stemson) Kittelson. He graduated from Austin High School in 1940. On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Dorthey E. Helleck at Red Oak Grove Church in Austin.

John Dean Bernard Olson, 92, Blooming Prairie

John Dean Bernard Olson, age 92 of Blooming Prairie, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System Austin.
John Dean was born April 12, 1927, to John Alfred and Helma (Siblerud) Olson of Hartland. He graduated from Freeborn High School in 1945 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April of 1945. He was discharged with an honorable discharge in August of 1946.

He was born on Nov. 19, 1930, in Wells. His parents were Julius and Hedwig (Goraczkowski) Dulas. Roger attended country school in rural Wells until the 8th grade. After school, he worked on the family farm with his father.

The Rev. Dr. Elsa Patt was born on Oct. 7th 1931 in Erndtebrück Germany to Wilhelm and Elisabeth Patt.  She was the oldest of four children and helped to care for her younger siblings during WWII as her father served in the German army.  In her early childhood she fell in love with Jesus and his church and found comfort in them through the ravages of war.
