Dale Helmbrecht, 84, formerly of Dodge County

Dale E. Helmbrecht, 84, of Merrimack, N.H. and Little River, S.C. passed away on Monday, Oct. 28 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, after a brief illness.
He was born in Ashland Township, Dodge County, son of the late Willard and Verla Helmbrecht. After high school, Dale went on to serve his country with the United States Army and later with the United States Air National Guard.

Gerald Laumb Jr., 48, Kasson

Gerald “Jay” Wayne Laumb Jr., 48, of Kasson, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 in Rochester.  Jay had fought a long hard battle with brain cancer for the last 12 years.
Jay was born on May 6, 1971 to Gerald Sr. and Barbara (Carrier) Laumb in Winona. He married Amber Hoff on May 24, 1997 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson. Together they have two children, Brady and Makinna Laumb. 

Olgar Lon Himle, 90, rural Austin

Olgar L. Himle, 90 of rural Austin, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, surrounded by his family at home in Udolpho Township.
Olgar Lon was born April 29, 1929 to Erick and Bertha (Brekke) Himle near Rock Dell, Minn. He was a graduate of Hayfield High School. On July 27, 1979, Olgar was united in marriage to Judy Beckman at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham.

Signe Fineid, 95, formerly of Kasson

Signe Fineid, 95, of Rochester passed away at Seasons Hospice on Nov. 3, 2019.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1924 in Kristisand South, Norway to Ludvig & Inger Nordkvist.  She married Tore Fineid on March 4, 1943. 

Kenneth M. Bale, 85, rural Rochester

The funeral service for Kenneth M. Bale, 85, of rural Rochester, MN will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Rock Dell with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bale died on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 following an illness with heart disease at Mayo Clinic Rochester – St. Mary’s Campus, where he had been a patient.

Gloria Rieken, 19, formerly of Hayfield

Gloria Frieda Rieken, formerly of Hayfield, will be laid to rest on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. Gloria passed away on or about Nov. 9, 1970 of unknown causes. Her body was discovered in rural Mille Lacs County and remained unidentified until Feb. 9, 2019.
