Raymond Richard Kyllo, 91, of Hayfield,

Raymond Richard Kyllo, 91, of Hayfield, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN.
Raymond was born along with his twin brother, Ralph, at the family farm on March 10, 1934, in rural Hayfield, MN to Richard and Thea (Bungum) Kyllo.  He was baptized and confirmed at Evanger Lutheran Church in Sargeant, MN, where he continued to be a lifelong member.

Ralph Thomas Kyllo, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at St Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, from a stroke. 

Goal line stand puts KoMets in Class AAAA championship

 
The Kasson-Mantorville football team is now one win away from its first state title, after defeating Grand Rapid 14-12 Friday afternoon in the state tournament semifinal matchup. 
The KoMets’ first defensive stop came in the first quarter, as they held Grand Rapids on a fourth down in the red zone. 
After back and forth defensive stops, the KoMets caught a break when Grand Rapids was called for pass interference. 

Jean Margaret Hanson, 85, of Kasson,

Jean Margaret Hanson, 85, of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. 
Jean was born on September 11, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa, to Roy and Katie Johnson, along with her identical twin sister, Joan. Their older brother, Dick, was at home to welcome the twins’ arrival.

Pre-game Thanksgiving with Turkey Day 5K

Looking to get some exercise before the big dinner on Thanksgiving Day? The 4th Annual Turkey Day 5k is just what you need.
Both the 5k and a 2.5k races begin at 8 a.m.
The family-friendly run/walk is hosted by The Main Alternative.
All race registrations and other donations will be given directly to the Food Shelf in Kasson and the Dodge County Salvation Army.

Dallenbach named Triton Teacher of the Year

Jill Dallenbach has been awarded the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for Triton Public Schools.
Dallenbach is the K-12 art teacher for Triton. She has had a passion for art since she was a child. Her mother was a professional artist and had an art studio in their home. She grew up exposed to art and the creative process from a young age.
For the past 30 years she has taught at Triton.
