Triton Business Professionals of America sent 27 students to the annual State Leadership Conference, held March 8-10 in Minneapolis. 
Three students won trips to the National BPA Conference, and 14 members earned recognition for placing in the top 10 of their events.

John Losee doesn’t have to travel far to display his equipment for visitors coming to the North America Farm and Power Show in Owatonna. 
As owner of Northland Farm Systems, Losee has less than a mile to go to bring his exhibit to the Farm and Power Show, which has become an important part of Northland’s marketing efforts.

They are smiling big, enjoying the moment captured on film by a proud parent.
They weren’t born brother and sister. The boy was born in Russia, the girl in Poland. But they’re together now, laughing, and enjoying life in little Mantorville, of all places.

James “Jim” W. Johns, 74, of Blooming Prairie died Friday, March 9, 2018, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie. Jim lost a long battle with a brain disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Jim graduated in 1961 from Blooming Prairie High School.

Barbara Ann Franke, 78, received her angel wings on March 7, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Barb was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Mankato to Emil and Esther (Grothe) Osmundson.  She grew up on the family farm in Delavan, where she graduated from high school in 1957.  She married her best friend, Gene, on Nov. 23, 1957, in Delavan.

The memorial service for Allan O. Carlson, 77, of rural Byron, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at South Zumbro Lutheran Church in rural Kasson, with Rev. Eldon Simonson officiating. 
Burial will take place in the church cemetery. 
Mr. Carlson died on Thursday March 1, 2018 of a short illness with cancer, at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas, where he had been a patient. 

Donald  Wayne Petersburg, 89, of Claremont, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Traditions 2. 
 
He was born in Bristol Township, Worth County, Iowa, on Oct. 20, 1928, the son of Alfred and Alma (Gudvangen) Petersburg. He was baptized on Nov. 25, 1928 and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on May 30, 1943.
