After dropping off his oldest child, Carson, at the bus stop for school, he passed out way in a fatal car crash.
 

The driver of a Hummer that rearended into another vehicle and killed a beloved school teacher from Blooming Prairie and her young daughter has been charged with two felonies.
On Wednesday, the Dodge County Attorney’s Office filed two criminal vehicular homicide charges against Tanner Ronald Kruckeberg, 24, of Dodge Center. The charges accuse Kruckeberg of operating his vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.

The Kasson-Mantorville High School Drama Department is excited to present its 2019 One Act Play Competition show, Everyman in the Circus of Life, adapted by Travis Tyre. A free performance will be given on Friday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Minnesota WiFi Performing Arts Center at KMHS.

Robert Jensen, 64, of Winona, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 peacefully in his sleep.
Bob was born July 6, 1954 in Minneapolis to Richard A. and Alpha (Bungum) Jensen. He graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1972. On May 22, 1976, he married Donna Fellows at South Zumbro Lutheran Church in Kasson. Bob worked for 40 years at Peerless Chain and was a senior engineer.

Although the total monetary amount was still being added up, the West Concord American Legion Post and its auxiliary were calling Sunday’s pancake breakfast a success.
Post Commander Tom Hunt said that 180 people were served breakfast and total amount raised will likely be in the $2,500 to $2,600 range.
“We were very happy,” he said. “It went very well and people were very giving.”

Since I graduated from college a couple of years ago, I haven’t been very political with my columns that I write.

For the third straight year, the Kasson-Mantorville girls powerlifting team captured a state title. K-M accomplished  the feat at the third annual Minnesota High School
Meet in Rockford, Minn. on January 12 and had a team of eight female lifters and five male lifters competing.

Triton Business Professions of America (BPA) sent 17 students to its Regional Competition, and they will send all 18 on to the State Competition after a successful day of competition.
