The city of Kasson tax levy could be increased by up to 7.2% after approving its preliminary maximum levy last week.
As part of the maximum levy, the General Fund budget would be $2.7 million, the Library Fund would be $441,533, and the Economic Development Fund would be $110,018.
An additional $1.177 million would go towards the Debt Service Levy.

The Dodge Center Council approved a maximum levy of $2.48 million which if approved in December would be a 7.95% increase over 2024.
“This levy is consistent with the levy agreed to by the Council at the July work session,” City Administrator Lee Mattson wrote in a memo. “The tax levy is proposed to increase by 7.95% as the city attempts to approach a tax rate of 80%.”

Herminia Mack, a healthcare professional from Owatonna, has always been a prideful person. She always wants to help.

Scott Larson attended the old Kasson School for grades 1 – 3, then Mantorville for grades 4 – 6, and he graduated from Kasson-Mantorville in 1988. He did participate in the school choir for the concerts in grade school, but was not involved with other school activities. He did enjoy going to the K-M Prom, and the Post Prom in Rochester. He got into a food fight but managed to stay out of trouble.
