Wildcats fall to Warroad

The Wildcats scored the first two goals in regulation in the Class A semifinal game against Warroad, both in the first period.

Then another eight goals were scored in a back and fourth game.

With less than two minutes left in the third period, and down by two goals, the Wildcats, with an empty net, came back and scored two more goals to force the game into overtime for the second straight game of the tournament.

But Warroad, who lost in the title game last year, had the last laugh winning 6-5.

The Wildcats will play next on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
