Warm waves usher out wimpy winter

With waves of warmth, it looks like our relatively wimpy winter may be moving on out for the season. I love spring, and it is so refreshing to get a string of 60 plus degree days this early in the year.
As a youngster growing up in the central part of the state, I can remember some hellacious snow storms and blizzards, even throughout the month of March. There were times we stopped dead in our tracks and couldn’t move anywhere. 
There were times when I remember my parents being stuck in town and had no way of making it out to the farm. I also recall mountains of snow piled up all over with hardly any wiggle room to get from one point to another. Even the pigs were stranded inside their outdoor huts and unable to get around for days. 
It seems as though those crazy winter storms don’t hit us like they once did decades ago. But who’s complaining? Certainly not me.
For me, there is nothing worse than having to drive around white-knuckled with my hands cemented on the steering wheel. It’s stressful enough with idiots on the roadways to drive without having to worry about poor driving conditions.
I am kind of digging these mild winters we’ve had over the past 10 or so years. It definitely makes the winter months zip by pretty fast when one doesn’t have to worry about shoving around 10 feet of snow.
Perhaps we can thank global warming for the winterless years we’ve been experiencing. I can’t help but chuckle when I saw the East Coast get slammed earlier this winter. And people thought Minnesota was bad? 
I guess you can thank global warming for it. Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and its oceans. It’s a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate.
If this current warming trend continues, it won’t be long
