Virginia Blair Thoe, 93, Hayfield

Virginia Blair Thoe, 93, of Hayfield, passed away on November 16, 2021, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.
Virginia was born on August 2, 1928, the daughter of Arthur and Bess (Trusty) Schultz in Rochester. She was united in marriage to Oliver Thoe on June 27, 1948, in Rochester.
Virginia worked as a Telephone Operator and later at the Oaks Country Club. She and Oliver owned and operated Olies Caf?.
Virginia enjoyed playing cards, bridge and socializing. In card games, grandma always wins.
Virginia’s children and grandchildren enjoyed her lefse and potato dumplings. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield.
Virginia is survived by her children Patti (Charlie) Miller, Owatonna; Paul (Cathy) Thoe, Hooper, Utah; Mark (Deb) Thoe, Alexandria; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oliver; two sons, Steven and Brad; one great grandchild, Connor; and one brother and four sisters.
A live stream memorial service was held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 with Vicar Jackie Short officiating.
Inurnment was in West St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hayfield.
The family prefers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Field Crest Care Center, St. Croix Hospice or donor’s choice.
