Triton boys win Sub-Section meet

The boys Triton Track and Field team won the Section 1A — Sub-Section 2 meet last week.
In the 100 meter Triton’s Pierce Petersohn ran a 11.48 to win the race, with Garet Jensen 11.87 to come in second.
Hayfield’s Easton Johnson finished third in the 100 meter with a time of 12.10, and Triton’s Christian Valdez Miranda Jr finished fifth with a time of 12.21.
Petersohn won the 200 meter, Jensen came in second, Johnson came in fourth. Petersohn also won the 400 meter with a time of 49.72.
In the 800 meter Triton’s Elijah Okeefe finished second with a time of 2:11.23.
Triton’s Angel Mata-Colin came in fourth in the 1,6000 meter with a time of 4:54.87.
In the 3,2000 meter race Emanuel Solano finished sixth with a time of 12:30.07.
Triton’s Varzaes Jackson finished fourth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 19.91, and Triton’s Matias Jara finished sixth with a time of 21.49. Jackson also finished fourth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46 seconds.
Triton came in second in the 4x100 meter, second in the 4x200, and second in the 4x800.
In the shot put Triton’s Craig Knutson finished third with a toss of 46’ 4.75”, and Brady Staub finished fourth with a toss of 46’.
Staub finished second in the discus with a throw of 149’ 11”, and Knutson finished third with a toss of 147’ 10”.
Petersohn won the high jump clearing 6’ 3”, and Triton’s Braxton Koss finished third jumping 5’ 9”.
Mason Noaeill finished third in the long jump with a leap of 18’ 11”.
Hayfield girls finishes fourth
On the girls side, Hayfield finished fourth overall as a team, with Triton finishing sixth.
For Triton Averee Henslin finished fourth in the 100 meter race with a time of 13.35, and fourth in the 200 with a time of 26.51.
Triton’s Olivia Weber won the 400 meter with a time of 1:01.39.
In the 1,600 meter Autumn Froyum came in fourth for Triton with a time of 5:51.06.
Hadley Doman came in second in the 3,200 meter for Hayfield with a time of 12:00.14.
In the hurdles Weber came in fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.88, and Amber Ziegler came in fifth in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 52.5.
Hayfield came in fourth in the 4x200, and Triton won the 4x400.
Breanna Subbret won the shot put with a toss of 34’ 11.25” and Triton’s Siri Wennes came in sixth in the discus with a toss of 73’ 10”.
Weber came in third in the high jump clearing 4’9”, and Aviana Alexander came in sixth for Hayfield clearing 4’ 7”.
Subbret jumped 15’ 11” in the long jump for Hayfield, Amber Ziegler jumped 31’ 6” in the triple jump, and Addison Rieck jumped 31’ 4” in the triple jump to finish fifth for Hayfield.
