Thankful for making new memories

I met my wife when I was 22 years old and had been living in Minnesota for less than a year, after moving from Rhode Island.
Since then, we have made a lot of memories, including many firsts for myself.
I went to the State Fair for the first time with her, went to my first Twins game, first Vikings game, Timberwolves game, and countless other things.
But despite Jessica being a few years older than me, I have gotten to help her experience things.
She tried Coffee Milk, a Rhode Island staple, for the first time (if you haven’t yet you should), and got to swim in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time when we went to see my family. For a while, we lived in my hometown.
Then we were at the Twins game last Friday, which doubled as a Nelly concert after.
It was a great concert, and it was clear Jessica grew up listening to him much more than I did.
But the next day, while reflecting on the fun night out, it occurred to me, we have been truly blessed to share new memories together and have gotten to experience things for the first time together.
To keep in mind how much fun we had, on Tuesday afternoon, I texted Jessica for a photo of the concert because I realized I had none.
She had two selfies that we took after the game.
While I wished we were better at taking photos, to me it is a sign of how much fun we have at different events and activities. The memories we have made are the same as a million photos.
