Tammy’s farewell

It has been an honor covering Kasson-Mantorville sports since 2011. Randy Carlson roped me into this role for the Dodge County Independent newspaper, where I provided pictures of football, wrestling, volleyball, GBB, and softball. I have shot 16 state tournaments from the sidelines and mat side. When Covid hit, I started writing the articles for the fans at home to read.
This year, I was fortunate enough to bring with me a second photographer to the MSHSL wrestling tournament. I would like to thank my dear friend, and wrestling parent, Jenni Sturm, for assisting me this year to cover our nine individual wrestlers.
I would also like to sincerely thank all of this year’s sponsors/donors that covered this beautiful, four page colored spread of state wrestling. High school is a time of memories for these athletes and their families. Not all towns have a local newspaper that provides coverage to their youth. With everything in today’s age going online, I personally cherish these printed pages and have kept every one of them.
I look forward to being a fan in the stands, cheering on our KoMets.
