St. Paddy’s Day comes to Kasson March 8

St. Patrick’s Day will be coming a bit early to Kasson this year as the Kasson Chamber of Commerce St. Paddy’s Day celebration is planned for this Saturday, March 8.
Activities get under way at 9 a.m. with the St. Paddy’s Day 5K starting at the Main Alternative.
From 1 to 3 p.m. there will be a variety of family-oriented activities in downtown Kasson.
Elmore Chiropractic will have lucky charm bracelets and Shamrock Shake Ping Pong at Trail Creek Coffee Roasters. There will be cookie decorating at Hy-Vee, Kids Giveaway bags at Johnson’s General Store and St. Paddy’s Clothing Sale and green mustaches at KLG.
At The Studio, there will be a coloring activity sponsored by K-M schools, Word Search by Midwest Floor Solutions, Inc., and St. Paddy’s Crowns by The Studio. Activities at the Mini-Mall will include Leprechaun hats by NextEra Energy Resources, a 4-Leaf clover craft by Prairie Meadows Senior Living, coloring page by Ready, Set, Learn, Leprechaun photo cutout by The Green Shack, Tattoos and balloon arch photo op by The Main Alternative and You Knead Therapy, and Leprechaun Bait by Ziebell Law Office. There will be crafts and giveaways at Team O’Malley/Counselor Realty.
Dodge County Salvation Army will have hot chocolate and cider at the Mini Mall, Tammy’s Place will have St Paddy’s ducks and necklaces, drink and food specials and adult surprises. Leprechaun Latte will be available at Trail Creek Coffee Roasters and Zumbro Valley Golf Course will have drink specials.
KOWZ Media will have live music and broadcast at Team O’Malley/Counselor Realty.
At 3:15 there will be a bingo card drawing for adults and kids at the Mini Mall.
The bagpipers will be at the Kasson American Legion at 4 p.m. and the Legion will also have drink specials.
For adults 21 and older there will be a St. Paddy’s Day Pub Crawl from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Participating businesses include Bunker Bar @ ZVGC, Hidden Pines, Tammy’s Place and the Legion
Pick up a punch card at one of the participating restaurants, visit each venue and have them mark off their space on your card. Once you have visited all the places turn in your card at the last place you visited. By completing the Pub Crawl you will be entered to win Chamber Bucks which can be used at the participating bars and restaurants.
