Renee Hedberg, 85, Owatonna

Renee  Hedberg, 85, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Traditions II in Owatonna.
She was born Jan. 17, 1936 in Emmons County, N.D., the daughter of William and Myrtle (Harwood) Keifer. She attended school in Kasson. 
On Oct. 11, 1953, she married Robert L. Hedberg. The couple lived on a farm near Kasson, then moved to Dodge Center, eventually settling in Owatonna. 
Along with being a homemaker, Renee worked at OTC in Owatonna for 26 years. She was a member of the Owatonna United Methodist Church. She had a strong faith and always trusted God to work out the details of life.
 Renee had a strong will, was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets, casino trips and fishing on Lake Vermillion. 
 She is survived by her children, Dan (and Janet) Hedberg of Claremont, Gloria Heise of Owatonna, Glen (and Sandy) Hedberg of Ellendale, Teresa (and Joe) Duschek of Branson, Mo., Wayne (and Leslie) Hedberg of Yuma, Ariz,  Roy (and Linda) Hedberg of Faribault, Randy (and Robbin) Hedberg of Nerstrand, Yvonne (and Scott) Ripka of Owatonna and Dennis Hedberg of Owatonna; 44 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Marce (and Richard) Hamilton of Kasson and Marion Keifer of Dodge Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle; husband, Robert Hedberg; son, Brad Hedberg; daughter, Sandra Peterson and siblings, Opal Johnson, Nova Sleezer, Lenora Klingfuss, Loren Keifer, Mavis Wulf and an infant sister.
Funeral services were held at Michaelson Funeral Home with Rev. Lisa Vick officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
