Our Christmas gift to you

This week staff members of the Dodge County Independent present their first ever Christmas gift to readers. It’s the gift of good news.
The front page, along with several pages inside, has been devoted to good news stories. We have made an intentional effort to deviate from the usual practice of placing all types of news on the main pages. Unfortunately, our society is bombarded with negativity that flows through to the news pages of the local newspaper.
Our writers are sharing stories this week that are inspirational, hopeful and uplifting. We found that there is no shortage of holiday cheer and spirit being shared around Dodge County and elsewhere this holiday season. We offer a sampling of how people are making the lives of other people brighter.
As you sit down with your families throughout this holiday season, we hope you will share with others in the good news that we have uncovered throughout our greater community of Dodge County.
