NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
TIME AND PLACE: Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Kasson, Minnesota, will meet at the Kasson-Mantorville  High School in the City of Kasson, Minnesota, at 6 o’clock P.M. on December 14, 2016, to consider the construction of the following improvements, to wit: 2017 Street Assessment Project.
NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The construction of concrete curb & gutter, asphalt streets, watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, sub-drain sewer, sidewalk, and turf establishment.
ESTIMATED COST: The total estimated cost of said improvements is Area 1– 2nd Street SW - $162,000. Area 2 – 3/4/5th Ave NW - $8,000,000.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED: The area proposed to be assessed for such improvements is as follows:  
1. 2nd Street SW from West Veterans Memorial Highway to Mantorville Avenue S
2. 3rd Avenue NW from West Main Street to 7th Street NW
3. 4th Avenue NW from West Main Street to 8th Street NW
4. 5th Avenue NW from West Main Street to 8th Street NW
5. 1st Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 5th Avenue NW
6. 2nd Street NW from approximately 150 feet east of 3rd Avenue NW to 5th Avenue NW
7. 3rd Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 5th Avenue NW
8. 4th Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 5th Avenue NW
9. 5th Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 6th Avenue NW
10. 6th Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 4th Avenue NW
11. 7th Street NW from 3rd Avenue NW to 4th Avenue NW
12. 8th Street NW from 4th Avenue NW to 5th Avenue NW
AUTHORITY: The Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429 M.S.A.
Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.  Written or oral objections will be considered.  A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessments will be available at this meeting.
