NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF WEST CONCORD
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of West Concord will meet at 207 West Main Street Building at 6:00 p.m., November 17, 2016, to conduct a public hearing and to consider approving an improvement project within the City, to be known as the 2017 Utility Reconstruction Project, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. The improvement project involves reconstruction of streets, driveway aprons, sanitary sewers, storm sewer and watermains, along with reconstruction and restoration of disturbed areas and miscellaneous items required to properly complete the project. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment for the improvement project will be available at the hearing. Those persons who so desire will be heard at this hearing with reference to the proposed improvements. Written comments may be submitted prior to or at the hearing.
The area proposed to be assessed for the project includes properties within three areas: Area 1 along Fifth Street between Irvin Street and a point approximately 675-feet to the south, Highland Street between West Main Street and South Street, Olive Street between Highland Street and Third Street and Arnold Street between Highland Street and Third Street; Area 2 along Front Street between South Street and Irvin Street, South Street between State Street and Front Street, Olive Street between State Street and Front Street, Arnold Street between Front Street and State Street and Irwin Street between Front Street and State Street; Area 3 along Eugene Street from it’s western termini to a point approximately 125-feet east of the western termini. All the proposed project improvement areas are located in the City. The estimated cost for the reconstruction project is $2,157,901.51, which shall be shared between the City and adjacent property owners. The City’s estimated share of the cost of the improvement project is $1,452,519.84 and the estimated cost of the improvement that is to be assessed is $705,381.67.
