Jacqueline Lee Evarts, 79, Milltown, Mass.

Jacqueline Lee Evarts died on May 26, 2022 in Milltown, Mass. Jackie and her husband, Jay Daly, lived in Linden Ponds in Hingham, Mass for many years before her death.
She was born on August 10, 1943, in Rochester, to Garth and Betty Evarts. She was the oldest of four daughters and lived her early life on the family farm outside of West Concord.
Jackie went to country school for the first eight years of her education and then graduated from West Concord High School. She attended and graduated from Rochester Junior College, Gustavus Adolphus College, and the New England School of Law.
Jackie had an incredible, eclectic life. She taught social studies at White Bear Lake High School, was a server in Aspen, Colo,, moved to Boston where she attended law school, and had an incredible career as a criminal defense attorney in Boston and surrounding communities. Her passion for the law was rooted in her deep and abiding belief in fairness.
The only thing she loved more than the law was the New England Patriots and was unashamed to say it really WAS more fun to win the Super Bowl.
Jackie also loved travelling with Jay and while they didn’t make it to all seven continents, they did make it to six, including a trip to Antarctica.
Jackie is survived by her beloved husband, Jay Daley, her step-daughter Erin (Gerard) Moore and the loves of her life, her granddaughters Bridget and Marlene. She is also survived by her sisters Suzy, Claudia (Rick), and Bonnie (Gil) and her nephews and nieces Christopher, Lisa, Tyler, Ryne, Chad, Kaylee, Kirsten, Greg, and Jaci.
Everyone who loved Jackie has stories to tell. Please honor her with those stories. Tell each other as we laugh, as we cry, as we grieve, and as we work to live our lives without her. We are all better because she is part of us.
