Jean Lenore Hinze Felty, 87, Hayfield

ean Lenore Hinze Felty, 87, died at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, December 10, 2021.
She was born October 13, 1934, on the Hinze farm in Sumner Township, Fillmore County, the daughter of Lester Everett and Helen Katherine Francis Hinze.
On November 22, 1963, Jean was united in marriage to Lynn Leon Felty in Spring Valley. To this union, one son, Russell Lynn Felty was born December 9, 1965. Lynn died October 6, 2008 in Hayfield.
Jean was the second child, and only daughter, in a family of four. With her brothers, she handled many chores, milking, gathering eggs, pitching hay, and tending the animals. Jean was teased,
tickled and pranked by her three brothers. She learned to return as good as she got. They never got ahead of her.
Lynn and Jean lived on a farm in Waltham, where she enjoyed her garden.
Jean was devoted to Heavenly father and traveled with her husband to many revivals, Some in Israel, Hawaii and other places in the world. They had some interesting return trips, as Rochester, N.Y. seemed to be the only Rochester known to the airlines.
Besides her husband and child, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim and Ray Hinze.
Surviving, is one brother, Don Hinze of Joplin, Mo., many nieces and nephews. Jean’s helpful nature, sense of humor and kindness will be missed.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield with Pastor John Todor officiating. Interment was in the Waltham Township Cemetery.
