Marilynn Elaine Holtan, 95, Hayfield

Marilynn Elaine Holtan, 95, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on April 27, 2021, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.
Marilynn was born the daughter of John and Anna (Brewer) Hogle in Dodge County on June 27, 1925. She attended Mantorville Schools.
Marilynn was united in marriage to Harold Holtan on September 5, 1945, in Kasson. The couple resided on a farm outside of Hayfield. She worked at Johnson Pharmacy for many years and later was a part time funeral assistant for the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home for a few years. She was an active member of her church. 
Marilynn enjoyed gardening, flowers (especially peonies), and her cats and dogs.
Marilynn is survived by her children, Robert (Verna) Holtan, Hayfield; Debbie (Dallas) Martin, Kasson; Hollis “Hodd” (Karen) Holtan, Hayfield; Brenda (Lenny) Rabon, St. Louis, Mo.; Sharon (Bob) Fleming, Rochester; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother, Dan Hogle, Eden Prairie; and sister, Sethone Slayton, Rochester.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; one grandson, Scott and one great granddaughter, Scarlett.
Visitation was at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, with services at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hayfield with the Rev. Paul Hauschild officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. Family prefers memorials to donor’s choice.
