Robert ‘Tex’ Gene Madsen, 80, Kasson

Robert “Tex” Gene Madsen, 80, of Kasson, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Campus in Rochester.
Tex was born on Oct. 21, 1940 in Claremont, to Louie and Clara Myrtle (Howard) Madsen. He attended Claremont schools. He worked as a truck driver for many years.  
On Sept. 22, 2000 he married Marlis “Peg” Sackett. He was active in many sports and enjoyed watching them on the TV. He also enjoyed camping and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. 
Tex is survived by his wife, Marlis “Peg” Madsen; children, Robin (Roland) Finger of Farmington, and Shannan Madsen of Woodbury; step-children, Sandra Bishop of Kasson, Jackie (Mike) Holey of Eagan, Kelly Sandte of Kasson, and Peggy Marquette of Kasson; siblings, Mick (Connie) Madsen of Kasson, Swede (Kathy) Madsen of Owatonna, Dick (Irmgard) Madsen of Claremont, Kathy (Jeff) Johnson of Maplewood, Max Dalland of Owatonna, Barb (Paula) Madsen of Austin, and  Judy (Paul) Perry of Bel Plaine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Lussier; and step-son, Mark Bishop.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street Dodge Center.
