More limits placed on social gatherings, including funerals

Governor’s orders do not permit weddings, funerals and similar events to take place between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.
So, if anyone was thinking of having a wedding around 10 p.m. or before 4 a.m., better rethink the plans.
And, if Dear-Old-Dad kicks the bucket, and my family is thinking of conducting my funeral after 10 p.m. or before 4 a.m., they’ll have to wait ‘til 4:01 a.m., or with planning, schedule it before 9:59 p.m.
Sound a bit crazy? Yes, but that’s according to the governor’s edict and he’s never wrong.
Folks living in Alaska may not travel between communities. (So those of you living in Kasson may not travel to Byron – that is if Alaska Gov. Mike Nunleavy’s rules were in force in Minnesota).  
California’s claim to the goofiest governor in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico has been telling the good citizens of the “Golden State “ under the order, all nonessential work, movement and gatherings in ‘purple tier’ counties are ordered to stop between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Dec. 21.” Purple tier? What’s that?
According to the “do as I say, not as I do” Gov. Gavin Newsom states that each county is given a risk level depending on the number of new COVID-19 cases and positive test results.
California county risk levels are: Purple - WIDESPREAD (most schools are closed); Red - SUBSTANTIAL (Schools can open for in-person instruction after they have remained in the red tier for 14 days; Orange – MODERATE (schools can reopen to in-person instruction based on state an county guidance; and Yellow – MINIMAL (Schools can reopen for in-person instruction based on state and county guidance. Got that?
Oh, one more thing, Newsom and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti are exempt from all levels of restriction. Edicts do not apply to ruling class individuals, only to their subjects (that’s the rest of us).
If you, or a family member, are planning a wedding in Washington state, your guest list must be fewer than 30. (The father-of-the-bride will get off easy with only 30 guests to feed.)
Folks living in Wyoming are urge by the state’s governor to celebrate safely for the holidays and to follow the three W’s: wash your hand, watch your distance and wear a face covering. (With everyone in Wyoming wearing a facemask, it’d be like the Old West where bandits ran around with face masks.)
