Breaking News: Minnesota State Fair Cancelled

The Minnesota State Fair has been cancelled for this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“It’s unfortunate, but we saw it coming,” said Steele County Fair President Dan Deml in response to the State Fair’s decision. “It’s inevitable, but incredibly unfortunate.”
The Steele County Fair Board plans to meet some time next week to decide if it will cancel this year’s fair, according to Deml. He said at this time the fair is still on, but he gave indications that it doesn’t look real promising for any county fairs to continue.
The Steele County Fair is the largest county fair in Minnesota. It attracts around 325,000 people each year.
