Steffl new owner of Kasson’s State eatre

Darin Steffl, who owns Minnesota WiFi in Kasson, is the new ownerof the State Theatre on Main Street in downtown Kasson.
The sale was first an- nounced last week when previous owners Heidi and Nicole, made a final poston the theatre’s Facebook page saying their goodbyes.
Steffl said that he is planning no immediate changes but rather will be doing some “sprucing up.” Most of the changes he has planned for the coming months will be repairs that will not be visible to pa- trons such as work on the roof and the stucco. A fresh coat of paint in a different color is also anticipated for the entry area.
There are no plans, he added, to close the theater while work is being done.

Steffl, a Kasson native, said he grew up attending movies at the theater and wants to keep the small single-screen theater concept alive in an era of multi-screen theaters.
