A Blind Date lures people to the library

After 15 years as a wedding videographer, Kiersten Hall decided to write down the stories of the  mishaps and adventures of her job. After 18 years of caring for her husband as he progressed through the stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, Carmen Tribbett decided to use children’s books as a way to talk to children to about the disease.
Both women were at the Kasson Public Library last week to talk about their books and take part in “Blind Date with a Book.”
Hall, who lives in Austin, told the full house at the library meeting room that over the years she had videotaped 1,403 weddings.
All the stories in her memoir, “I Do, Fifteen Years of Wedding Misadventures,” she said, are true although names were changed “so I can leave my house.”
For 15 years, she was co-owner of I Do Productions, which at its peak had three videography crews out every weekend. The stories in the book, she said, are from those weddings where she personally did the videos.
