Mantorville Marigold Days set for next weekend
Labor Day Weekend is coming up, which means that the Mantorville Marigold Days are coming to town soon.
The 54 celebration will kick off on Thursday, Sept.5 with restoration and log house tours from 1-5 p.m. along with the Bell Tower Dedication at 5:30 p.m. and the Field of Flags Presentation at 6 p.m.
Friday night will feature a Spaghetti Supper from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Congregational Church along with a street dance from 6:30-12:30 p.m. at the Mantorville Saloon.
Saturday is set to feature a full day and night of fun in town, which will include a pancake breakfast from 6-10 a.m. at the fire hall, the annual 5K Stagecoach Run at 8:30 a.m. the Big Iron Classic Truck Parade at 3:30 p.m., the Mantorville Royalty Crowning and Awards at 7 p.m. at the music stage, and fireworks at 8:30 p.m. just to name a few events. Saturday will feature a Mantorville Fire and Rescue Department Dance to end the night from 8-1230 p.m. at the fire hall.
Sunday will be another fun filled day with the flea market going on from 9-4 p.m. at Riverside Park, the grand parade at 1:30 p.m. and the firefighter water fight on fifth street west, just to name a few events during the day.
This year’s entertainment includes CJ & the BS Boys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday followed by JT & The Gunslingers at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday will include a variety of talents, starting at 8:30 a.m. with LP & the 45’s, Wilkinson/James at 10 a.m., Smoldering Roots at 12 p.m., The Suits at 2 p.m., Thunderheads at 4 p.m., and The Wreck at 6 p.m.
Saturday night will be headlined by Red Dirt Road starting at 8 p.m.
Sunday’s entertainment will wrap up the weekend with Uptown Jazz playing at 11 a.m. and Tubby Esquire playing at 3 p.m.
