Eric Ayen named new Byron Chamber VP

Eric Ayen, owner of Ayen Chiropractic, has only lived in Byron for the last 10 years.
But like most people who make their journey to the community, he has been happy to call it his home.
Now after two years of having his business in town, Ayen will be able to help out with the business community by serving as the vice president of the Byron Chamber of Commerce.
For Ayen, it was seeing the direction that the board has been going in that made him want to join them.
“I have truly valued the direction that the board has been going within these two years of my membership and wanted to take a more active role within the BACC,” Ayen said. “I really appreciate the charge of the organization as a Byron resident and small business owner and would love to do my part to contribute,” he added.
Originally from a similar size town of Byron, Ayen explained that Byron reminds him a lot of where he grew up.
“Byron reminds me a lot of the town where I grew up so this type of community is extremely familiar and comfortable to me. Byron is a great place to raise a family and is a pleasure to live and work in,” Ayen said.
On pace to reach historic numbers this year for membership totals, Ayen hopes that the chamber will continue to grow just like Byron is continuing to do.
“I would love to see the Chamber continue to grow at the rate that Byron itself is growing. I would love to see it continue to meet and/or exceed the expectations of the businesses within the group,” Ayen said. “I would also like to see continued and sustainable opportunities for area businesses to gain visibility and also give back to the community in a way that’s beneficial for their long-term growth as well as beneficial to the Byron-area residents,” he went on to say.Ayen said that anyone with a business in the Byron area, whether it’s big or small, should consider joining the chamber as it has a great amount of value.
“I think being a member of the Byron Area Chamber of Commerce is a great way of bringing visibility to one’s business as well as gaining more understanding of the way that local commerce can be so collaborative,” Ayen said. “This organization creates many opportunities to develop additional friendships all in an effort to make Byron a great place to live and work,” he added.
