Marlene H. Arndt, 70, Owatonna

Marlene H. Arndt of Owatonna died Aug. 1, 2018 at the Owatonna Hospital. Memorial service was Monday Aug. 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna.
Marlene was born on March 1, 1948 in Glencoe, the daughter Henry and Gladys (Scharmer) Lehmberg. Marlene attended high school at Roosevelt High and graduated in 1966. She was united in marriage to Jerry Arndt and this union brought four children. The couple later divorced.
Marlene was a daycare provider for over 35 years in the Owatonna area before retiring in 2013. Marlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered in the kitchen at the church. She enjoyed entertaining friends at her home having coffee. Her life interests include cooking, camping, reading and keeping her house clean.
Marlene will be missed by her children Stacy (Tim) Van Engelenhoven of Owatonna, Shanda (Matthew) McMonigal of Rocklin, Calif., Lanning (Jason) Maher of Owatonna, and Kelly (Tiffany) Arndt of Geneva. Her grandchildren Vanessa and Haylee Van Engelenhoven, Hunter, Quinn and Eva McMonigal, Emma and Lincoln Maher, Kylie and Cloie Arndt. Siblings Larry (Karen) Lehmberg of West Concord, Bonnie (Tim) Johnson of Owatonna, Randy (Kim) Lehmberg of Grand Rapids, Donna (LaVern) Wobschall of Owatonna, Ron (Roni) Lehmberg of Story City, Iowa, as well as many nieces and nephews.
