Doctor Strange

Prepare for the latest, and one of the strangest, additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Strange is the newest hero being introduced to the pantheon of Marvel superheroes, and his journey takes the audience into a new realm of the comic book world.
Played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Steven Strange is a successful, arrogant brain surgeon whose life is tragically altered after a car crash badly damages his hands and ends his medical career. Strange becomes obsessed with finding a means, any means, to restore his hands. In his search, he stumbles into a mystic world and an even greater destiny.
For those already fans of the Marvel superhero movies, this is a welcome addition to a long list of hits. Fans have been weary about how writers were going to work the magical side of the comic books into what has largely been a science fiction universe, but the screenwriters were up to the challenge.
Cumberbatch plays a charming narcissist with enough self-awareness to avoid most of the Hollywood clichés.
If you’re not already a Marvel fan, this is not the movie to enter the franchise on. For those who have a hard enough time accepting regular superheroes, a supernatural superhero sorcerer may be a bit too much to swallow, especially when accompanied by LSD worthy visuals.
If however, you’ve been dying for a mind-bending movie of Inception meets Iron Man, this is just the ticket.
