Dodge County Fair fine arts and photography open class begins July 13
Entry day for the 2026 Dodge County Fair for open class Fine Arts and Photography will be from noon to 8 p.m. July 13 in the pavilion building. Classes are broken down by age, media and types of photos.
Since artwork is hung on pegboard hooks, make sure any exhibit has the proper hangers. Wire strung between screw eyes on the frame is recommended. Hangers taped on the back of a frame will not hold in windy conditions or with the heat and humidity.
Any participant that lives in Minnesota is eligible to enter up to two entries in each class if space is available. Many student and 4-H art projects are entered in open class each year.
Exhibitors are encouraged to use the new online entry platform fair entry at: http://DodgeCountyFreeFairMN.fairentry.com but are not required to do so.
Fair staff will assist “pre-entered” entries to be tagged and placed in the correct classes for judging. Items that have not been “pre-entered” will be entered afterward.
The entries judged before the fair officially opens at noon on July 15. The building will be open at 11 a.m. –
9 p.m. to view the exhibits. Building exhibits will be released at 5 p.m. on July 19.
The new Fine Arts Building Superintendent is Mindy Hedberg and if you have questions about entering call 507-633-7999
