5:43 a.m.- Union Pacific 146-car train derails ½ mile south of Ellendale
6 a.m.- A forced evacuation of Ellendale community begins
Morning- 20 agencies from 3 neighboring counties assist with disaster. Rochester Chemical Assessment Team also responds.
12 p.m.- Evacuation lifted as officials deem situation to be safe
1:30 p.m.- Emergency personnel clear the scene and turn over incident to Union Pacific for clean-up and track restoration
