Mantorville’s Mantor Field gets a makeover

Mantorville has an amazing group of volunteers that serve on the Park Board. The town is justly proud of its parks; it has as many as other towns that are far larger in population. 
October 15, a group of these intrepid volunteers installed playground equipment at Mantor Field.
Chair of the Park Board is Ann Tuma who has served on the board for 15 years. She explained that when the county purchased the former Kasson-Mantorville Intermediate School building from Kent and Carole Keller in 2013, the newer playground equipment that was on site was donated to Mantorville. 
The equipment was removed from the former school grounds and stored until Oct 15 when it was installed at Mantor Field.
Recent rains had turned the location into a quagmire; after their work, the volunteers looked like they had competed in a mud run; at least from the waist down.
