Jean Johnson, 80, Kasson

Jean Marie Johnson, 80, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at her home in Kasson.
Jean was born Feb. 19, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Nelson) Larson in Rochester.  She graduated from Kasson High School in 1954.
Jean was united in marriage to Earl Johnson on June 17, 1956, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church. Jean and her husband owned and operated the Oslo Station for nine years and the Mobil Station in Kasson for 23 years.  Jean was bookkeeper for the Vernon Creamery for several years.  She enjoyed feeding the birds, flowers, golfing, reading, going for rides and especially spending time with her family.  She was a wonderful cook and a collector of cookbooks.
Jean is survived by her husband, Earl Johnson, Kasson; son, Don Johnson, Rochester; daughter, Dorothy (Jim) Larsen, Kasson; sister, Diane (Daniel) Linbo, Sargeant; two grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Larsen and Matthew (Nicole) Larsen; four great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Emsley, Henrik, Lydia and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two great -grandsons, Landon and Liam. 
The funeral service was held on Nov. 9, 2016, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church in Kasson, with Reverend Mark Schwartz officiating. Interment was held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson.
