City of Mantorville Notice of Filing for City Election

Notice is hereby given that the filing for Mayor and City Council will open Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 8:00 am and close Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 5:00 pm.  Offices to be filled; 
One (1) Mayor - 2 year term
Two (2) Council Members – 4 year term
One (1) Council Member – 2 year term
Affidavits of candidacy will be available and received weekdays during normal business hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm but until 5:00 pm on August 16, 2016 at the office of the City Clerk, 21 – 5th Street East, Mantorville.      
The following criteria must be met for the Mayor or Council seats.  The candidate
•Must be eligible to vote
•Will be 21 years old on assuming office
•Will have maintained residence in the City of Mantorville for 30 days before the election
•Must pay a $2.00 filing fee at the time of filing
The election for these City Offices will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. N:30c
