Ceremony marks transition from elementary to middle school

Much like their older counterparts, the Triton Class of 2023 walked down the aisle to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance.
For the 96 fifth graders, the end-of-the-school-year event marked their transition from elementary school to middle school.
With many parents and grandparents watching, they made their way to the front of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and the members of the Fifth Grade Choir went to the risers on the stage.
After a welcome from librarian Vickie Reiser, the choir sang “Grant Us Peace, Give Us Courage” and a speaker from each of the four fifth grade classes reflected on their years at Triton Elementary.
Class speakers included Grace Fay, Cameron Vermilyea, MacKenzie Geers and Francis Price.
Fay, from Mrs. Fischnicht’s class said she was both nervous and excited about the move to Middle School.
