Suspect arrested in Dodge Center Kwik Trip theft

A 23-year-old man was charged last week in Dodge County District Court with theft and fleeing an officer following an incident at the Dodge Center Kwik Trip. 
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, deputies responded to a theft complaint at the Kwik Trip where the suspect had fled on foot, Sheriff Scott Rose said.  With the help of some watchful citizens, Rose said, deputies located the suspect walking on First Street NE. The suspect led the deputies on a foot chase to the 10 block area of Second Street NE where the deputy lost sight of the suspect.
After conducting an area search, deputies located the suspect hiding in a resident’s utility shed and arrested him without further incident.
