Robert Allen McAdams, 85, Mantorville

Robert Allen McAdams, age 85, of Mantorville, Minnesota, passed away on August 25, 2025, of natural causes. Bob was born at home in Mantorville to Francis and Adelaide (Green) McAdams on August 23,1940.  After graduating from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1958 he served in the Army.  In 1962, following his military service, he was united in marriage to Karen Lee Growden.  They had 3 sons. After Karen’s untimely passing, he remained a single father for seven years. Then he met and married the second love of his life Evelyn White in 1982.
Bob worked for UPS and was a loyal and enthusiastic (albeit frequently disappointed) Minnesota Vikings fan. After retirement, he spent his time on the John Deere mowing, working outside on his beloved rural Mantorville property and cultivating a small apple orchard.  He relished harvesting and sharing his fabulous apples.  He was truly a testament of success through hard work. Bob had a love for pheasant hunting with his boys and for his springer spaniel dogs. He was an accomplished mechanic, skilled in autobody work and tireless in his hobby of restoring antique cars and pick-ups.  Bob was a member of the Goodguys Car Club, enjoyed showing his classic cars. His much-loved grandchildren were thrilled with his passion for restoring old pedal cars. Going to dinner with family and friends was always a highlight of his week and he looked forward to his weekly social time with several close friends.
He lived a full life with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Evelyn, his children; Todd (Sonya), Kevin (Julie), and Greg (Jody); grandchildren, Emily (Michael), Talon (Paige), Isiah (Taylor), Allee and Aryss; great grandchildren, Ivy, Rowan, and Payton; sister, Rita (Bill) Weidendorf as well as his extended family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Cottagewood Senior Communities and Mayo Clinic Hospice. He has donated his body to science and research at the Mayo Clinic.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
